ENFORCEMENT DISCRETION - BRUNSWICK UNITS N0. 1 AND 2 This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. P. Fredrickson, NRC Region II and Mr. E. A. Bishop, CP&L, on June 6,1988, concerning enforcement discretion for the Brunswick Units No. 1 and 2. Our action was based on your verbal request on June 6,1988, and documented in your {{letter dated|date=June 7, 1988|text=letter dated June 7, 1988}}.
The discretion permitted the initiation of an orderly shutdown of Units 1 and 2 without isolation of HPCI and RCIC due to inoperable instrumentation to detect high steam flow greater than 300 percent.
