Huber Consultants, Inc., to use sand contaminated with depleted uranium in the manufacture of DOT-approved shipping containers. Your request was forwarded to the NRC Office of Nuclear Materials Safety and Safeguards (NMSS). Their response, signed by Donald Cool, Ph.D, is enclosed.
