Box 4 Shippingport,PA 15077 L-02-096 September 6, 2002 Beaver Valley Power Station Unit  I - Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 Unit 2 - Docket No. 50-412, License No. NPF-73 Monthly Operating Report U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555 Gentlemen:
In accordance with NRC Generic Letter 97-02, "Revised Contents of the Monthly Operating Report", and Unit 1 and 2 Technical Specification 6.9.4, the "Monthly Operating Report" is submitted for Unit 1 and Unit 2 for the month of August 2002.
Also included is a revised "Operating Data Report" for BVPS-1 for September 2001. The number of hours the reactor was critical was originally reported as zero (0) hours. The correct value should be 0.9 hours critical based on- BVPS-1 entering Mode 3 at 0055 hours on 9/1/01 after shutting down for its 14th refueling outage at 0000 hours on 9/1/01. This was discovered during a self-assessment of the NRC Performance Indicators last month.
