Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant Draft Safety Evaluation Report (DSER) 0 en Item 34 (DSER Section 5.3.1 age 5-1)

The applicant must identify whether SA-540, Class 1 or 2 material was used for closure bolting in reactor coolant pumps.

Revised Res onse The reactor coolant pump main flange bolts are SA-540, Grade B24, Class 4.

The seal housing bolts are SA-193, Grade B7.

Table 5.2.3-1 in the FSAR will be updated to reflect this.

NOTE:

In our response to Open Item 34, submitted to the Staff on May 4, 1983 (LAP-83-125), we identified the seal housing as bolts SA-139, Grade B7 ~
