By letter to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) dated August 28, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML13241A236), Northern States Power Company - a Minnesota corporation (NSPM), doing business as Xcel Energy, submitted relief request RR-21. In RR-21, NSPM requests relief from examination coverage requirements imposed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section XI, for the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(5)(iii). The request applies to the fourth 10-year inservice inspection interval which ended August 31, 2012.

However, Enclosure 4, Table B, states that weld W-8 received 93% examination coverage in 2001 during the 3 rd interval examination.
