SUBJECT: REGIONAL WORKSHOPS REGARDING SUPPLEMENT 1 TO NUREG-0737, REQUIREMENTS FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE CAPABILITY

(GENERIC LETTER 83-04)

On December 17, 1982, the NRC staff issued Supplement 1 to NUREG-0737, Requirements for Emergency Response Capability. The letter indicated that regional workshops would be conducted to answer questions you may have regarding the Commission's policy on these issues and the imple- mentation process to be used by project managers. The NRC staff is planning a short presentation prior to opening the floor to questions.

The letter indicated that you would be notified of specific locations and times for the workshops. The purpose of this letter is to provide this information.
