FW: McGuire Emergency Plan Submittal, letter dated March 31 2021 To whom it may concern, Via letter dated March 31, 2021, Duke Energy Carolinas LLC (Duke Energy, the licensee) for McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, submitted its latest Emergency Plan revision, and in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3), as stated below, Duke Energy verified that this document did not constitute a reduction in the effectiveness of the plan thereby it does not require NRC approval.

John, I wanted to follow up on our conversation the other day regarding the McGuire Nuclear Statin (MNS) emergency plan submittal (Duke serial number RA-21-0105) which was submitted on the 30th of March.

This is a standard submittal in which Duke has reviewed the revisions to the Emergency Plan in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q) and verified that there are no impacts to the effectiveness of the MNS Emergency Plan due to these changes. Thus, there are no downstream review and approval actions requested on your part.
