[External_Sender] GP-01 Short term, risk informed revalidation Date: Thursday, September 28, 2023 2:18:11 PM Attachments: image002.png E-62818 GP-01 CAC Request Letter.pdf

Good afternoon Norma,

I received the attached letter from Orano TN this morning. They request a risk informed, short term approvals for the GP-01 package designs for planned shipments in April 2024 and August 2024. I believe the safety case they make supports a short term certificate for a single shipment, April 2024.
I do not believe relief is needed for an August shipment provided Orano TN continues to work on full term revalidation.

I intend to pursue this risk based, short term option unless the NRC advises against such action.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
