Dear Mr. Denton:
In a letter dated June 19, 1984, South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G) requested a revision to the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Technical Specifications. SCE&G hereby requests that amendment be revised as indicated on the enclosed attachments to define allowable power levels for RCS flow rates less than 100% of Thermal Design flow.
Attachment 1 contains the proposed amended pages to the Technical Specifications and Attachment 2 provides an explanation and justification for this proposed change.
Attachment 3 provides the basis for the significant hazards consideration.
This change has been reviewed and approved by the Plant Safety Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Committee. A check in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4000.00) has previously been transmitted along with the June 19, 1984 submittal to process this amendment.
