We understand the Department of Water and Power of the City of j Los Angeles sent you a separate copy of their letter to us {

dated Doesober 27, 1968, which transmitted an application to I withdraw their Application for a Construction Permit for the l Department unit of the Bolsa Island Nuclear Power and Desalting Plant. Southern California Edison had previessly submitted a similar withdrawal for themselves and the San Diego Gas and Electric Company on their application for a Construction Permit for the Edison-San Diego Unit of that project.

For your information, I am enclosing copies of related Federal Register motices regarding the withdrawal of these applications.
