I received your email below dated May 4 requesting another 3 weeks to complete the financial RAIs. We reviewed and agreed with this extension request because: it is your first request; the difficulty coordinating the RAI response with (non-Rx) University staff; and, more notably, Purdue University maintaining good communication with the NRC on the status of your RAI response efforts.

We would like to establish May 21, 2010 as milestone to receive the draft RAI responses, with May 28 being the end of the 3 week extension. If the response can be completed earlier, that would be ideal. Feel free to scan the draft RAI response document and email to me. Also, please ensure any proprietary information is marked in accordance with 10CFR2.390, as the draft and final RAI responses will be placed into our public document system (ADAMS). We will review the draft RAI responses and, based on the information provided and additional information needed, we will discuss these responses with you and your staff on a telephone conference or in a trip to Purdue, as necessary.
