Dear Mr. Grissette:

This letter confirms the conversation between Mr. Tim Mattson, of your staff, and Mr. Gerald McCoy, of this office, concerning a Category 1 meeting, which has been scheduled for March 29, 2006, at 12:00 p.m. The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NRC Reactor Oversight Process Annual Assessment of your Vogtle Electric Generating Plant.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
