The license renewal application aging management program stated that the inspection sample is based on 95/95 assurance criterion (95 percent confidence level that 95 percent of a population is not experiencing degradation), which would specify a maximum of 59 inspection locations for an infinite lot size. It does not appear that implementing procedure 1-1'1-521 contains any inspections for the stainless steel/raw water material-environment population and only a limited number of inspections for the stainless steel/treated water population. Describe the alternative aging management approach that will be taken for small-diameter stainless steel piping under the Unit 1 Periodic Inspection Program as a result of limitations of the UT inspection technique.
