SHUTDOWN GREATER THAN 72 HOURS DUE TO INCREASED PRIMARY COOLANT LEAKAGE On August 2, 2014, Unit 2 experienced leakage of 3.33 gallons per minute (gpm) in the drywell. The licensee reduced reactor power to allow drywell entry to investigate the leakage. Following investigation, the licensee identified two separate leaks in containment; a primary coolant leak on the residual heat removal (RHR) shutdown cooling common suction line from a chemical cleaning injection line; and a cooling water leak on the lower motor cooler for the "A" Recirculation pump. On August 3, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., the licensee shutdown the unit to begin repair efforts.

SHUTDOWN GREATER THAN 72 HOURS DUE TO INCREASED PRIMARY COOLANT LEAKAGE

On August 2, 2014, Unit 2 experienced leakage of 3.33 gallons per minute (gpm) in the drywell.

The NRC resident inspectors are closely moni toring the licensee's evaluation and repair activities.

This preliminary notification is issued for information only.
