REFERENCES:
(1) W3P87-0950 dated March 26, 1987 (2) W3P87-1046 dated May 15, 1987 (3) W3P87-1639 dated July 24, 1987 Gentlemen:
By the referenced letters, LP&L submitted proposed changes to the Technical Specification for the emergency diesel generators.
Based on subsequent discussions with the NRC staff, LP&L requests an amendment to the proposed Techncial Specification. Attached are the amended Technical Specification pages. The remainder of the proposed change as submitted by References (2) and (3) is unaffected.
Because the current change results in no substantive changes to the manner in which the diesel generators will be operated, the safety analysis submitted with the Reference 1 letter remains bounding.
