Dear Mr. Novak:

Please find enclosed additional information on equipment cualification as requested during the EQ audit at the Waterford 3 plant site.

(Official Record transmitted via referenced letter.)

Included as attachments 1 and 2, respectively, is a radiation analysis and Appendix I to the EQ Guidebook which as, requested by Comment 22 (p.89) of the Audit Record, is being transmitted directly to H. Garg by copy of this letter.

In response to Comment No. 25, a 20% review of QDEFs in the Mechanical, I&C, HVAC, and Applied Physics areas was conducted, and the 90% acceptance criteria was met or exceeded in each case. The QDEFs picked at random for review are listed by package number in Attachment 3.

A 100% review is being conducted in the Electrical area and is approximately 90% complete at this time with over 98% of these correct.

As remarked verbally, field verification for package 55.3W3 (GE Control Stations) was not com>lete at the time of the audit. These verification sheets have since been comp 1

.ed.

If you have any questions or comments on this memo, please advise.
