DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT UNIT 1 UNION ELECTRIC CO.
RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-30 SUPPLEMENT TO LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR REVISING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TO ADOPT TSTF-591, REVISE RISK INFORMED COMPLETION TIME (RICT) PROGRAM (LDCN 24-0018)
Reference:
1.
ULNRC-06902, Application to Revise Technical Specifications to Adopt TSTF-59 1, Revise Risk Informed Completion Time (RICT) Program (LDCN 24-0018), dated December 5, 2024 (ADAMS Accession Number ML24340A177)
In the letter identified as Reference 1, Union Electric Company (Ameren Missouri) submitted an application for amendment to Renewed Facility Operating License Number NPF-30 for the Callaway Plant. The requested amendment would modify Technical Specification (TS) requirements in Section 5.5. 19, Risk Informed Completion Time, and add Section 5.6. 1 1, Risk Informed Completion Time (RICT) Program Upgrade Report. The proposed changes are consistent with NRC-approved Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) Traveler TSTF-59 1, Revised Risk Informed Completion Time (RICT) Program.
The Reference 1 LAR contained two attachments. Attachment 1 (ML24340A179) provided a mark-up of the affected Technical Specifications to indicate the proposed TS changes, and Attachment 2 (ML24340A180) provided clean pages with the TS changes incorporated, as proposed. Following submittal of the Reference 1 LAR, during the NRC staffs initial review of the LAR, two items requiring correction were identified by the NRC staff and verbally communicated to Ameren Missouri.

ULNRC-069 17 February 4, 2025 Page 2 of 4 Specifically, in regard to the first item, it was noted that Attachments 1 and 2 of the LAR contained a Chapter Table of Contents (TOC), which is not part of the document of record for the Callaway Technical Specifications. It was agreed that this page should be removed from the LAR (as the Chapter TOC pages are only included in the on-site copies of the Technical Specifications at Callaway as an aid or for ease of use). The second item identified was a typo in which the markup provided per of the LAR contained an extra period within the affected TS.
In response to the feedback provided by the NRC staff, Ameren Missouri agreed to resubmit corrected versions of Attachments 1 and 2, reflecting correction of the typo and removal of the extraneous content (i.e., the Chapter TOC page). Accordingly, this supplement to the LAR is submitted to provide updated attachments for the LAR, which supersede the versions previously provided.
This supplement to Ameren Missouris application involves no revision to the Enclosure of the Reference 1 LAR. As such, the information provided via this letter does not change the No Significant Hazards Consideration conclusions reached in the LAR, nor does it change the conclusion reached in regard to no need for an environmental assessment based on the categorical exclusion provisions of 10 CFR 51.22.
This letter does not contain new commitments.
