Clinton Power Station Unit 1 Technical Specifications Offsite Dose Calculation Manual
Dear Mr. Butler:
Your letter of April 18, 1985, enclosed the First Draft Technical Specifications for Clinton Power Station (CPS) Unit 1.
Section 6.14 of the Draft Technical Specifications requires an Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM) be approved by the NRC prior to implementation.
The ODCM for Clinton Power Station Unit I has been prepared and is hereby submitted for your review. Table 2.6-1, " Input Parameters for Calculating R
, will be completed and forwarded by October 1, 1985.
The CPS-0DCM provides the methodologies and parameters to be used by Illinois Power Company (IPC) to assure compliance with the dose

limitations stated in the CPS Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications (CPS-RETS). The RETS show compliance with 10CFR20, l
10CFR50 Appendix A (General Design Criteria 60 and 64), 10CFR50 Appendix I, and 40CFR190.
The CPS-0DCM was prepared based on guidance provided in NUREG-0133,
" Preparation of Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications for Nuclear Power Plants", (October 1978), and NUREG-0473,." Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications for Boiling Water Reactors", (Draf t 7" to Revision 3). This manual, along with station procedures, will be used by CPS personnel to demonstrate compliance with the CPS-RETS.
