DOCKET N05. 50-445 AND 50-446 DG SECONDARY METER AND RELAY CT CIRCUIT CABLE LEADS SDAR: CP-87-84 (INTERIM REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On September 3,1987, we verbally notified your Mr. H. S. Phillips of a deficiency involving long electric cable leads in the secondary meter and relay Current Transformer (CT) circuits for the Emergency Diesel Generator (DG) which could result in inoperability of the protective relays in the circuit.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e). Our latest interim report was logged TXX-6786, dated October 2, 1987.
We are continuing our evaluation of the impact of this issue upon the safety of plant operations. Our next repurt on this issue will be submitted not later than February 12, 1988.
