SUBJECT:
COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES)
DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 IE BULLETIN NO. 86-02 Gentlemen:
We have performed a review of the CPSES electrical equipment important to safety and have determined that SOR Model 102 and 103 differential pressure switches were not used in any safety related application. This determination was based on the following:
- An extensive inspection of instruction manuals for safety related vendor package systems
- A review of field requisitions issued by CPSES Engineering
- A review of purchase orders issued by Operations
- A search of warehouse stock files, including replacement parts
- A formal request to all safety related electrical equipment suppliers to identify any usage in CPSES supplied equipment In addition, to assure positive control over future procurement items, the subject differential pressure switches have been added to the Nuclear Operations Defective Items List (N0DIL).
Very truly yours, ld). [.
