On December 20, 1985, we verbally notified your Mr. R. Hall of a deficiency involving Seismic Category II platforms.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e). Our last interim report, logged TXX-5042, was submitted September 26, 1986.
Development of the action plans for the subject platforms is essentially complete.
The plan will require reinspection and subsequent engineering evaluation of the inspection results. Our evaluation of this deficiency, with regards to the safety of plant operations, will be based upon the review of these inspection results.
Our next report on this issue will be submitted no later than April 22, 1987.
