CP-86-02 (FINAL REPORT)
Dear Mr. Johnson:
On January 9, 1986, we verbally notified your Mr. T. Westerman of a deft-ciency regarding a design change to the turbine-driven auxiliary feedwater pump which afters its performance capabilities. We have submitted an interim report logged TXX-4693, dated February 7, 1986.
Although original pump requirements were reduced, corollary FSAR and draft technical specification revisions have also been properly issued and approved.
The current system design has been found to satisfy the FSAR requirements and is capable of performing its intended safety function.
Had the deficienc'y remained uncorrected, it could not have adversely affected the safety of operations.
Therefore, this issue is not reportable under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
