On January 9, 1986, we verbally notified your Mr. T. Westerman of a defi-ciency regarding a design change to the turbine-driven auxiliary feedwater pump which alters its performance capabilities.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
We are continuing over evaluation and anticipate npletion of our fin::1 report by March 7, 1986.
