SUBJECT:
COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION DOCKET N05. 50-445 AND 50-446 OPERATOR ACTION TO RESTORE UPS ROOM VENTILATION DURIhG A POSTULATED CONTROL ROOM / CABLE 3PREADING ROOM FIRE
Dear Mr. Noonan:
Texas Utilities letter TXX-4528 dated August 6,1985 stated that for a Control Room / Cable Spreading Room Fire, concurrent with a loss of offsite power, operator action to restore UPS room vent!1ation is required in less than ten minutes.
We have reviewed the qualification of the safe shutdown equipment contained in the UPS room and have determined that the equipment can operate for greater than ten minutes without ventilation.
Should you have any questions in this matter, please contact this office.
Very truly yours,-
Ti j
