Dear Mr. Hunter:

On August 28, 1984 we verbally notified your Mr. Hunnicutt of an incidentI regarding preoperational testing activities at CPSES the details of which were made available to attorneys representing Texas Utilities Generating Company in our licensing hearings.

Evidence of the incident indicated that a person identified as " Individual F" intentionally misled a QC Surveillance Specialist into signing off on a preoperational test.

We are continuing our evaluation and anticipate cmpletion by October 29, 1984.
