Dear Mr. Youngblood:
In reference to the Diablo Canyon natural circulation / boron mixing prototype test to be performed per Branch Technical Position (RSB) 5-1, CPSES will provide a plant comparison that demonstrates the applicability of Diablo Canyon's test results to CPSES.
In the event the Diablo Canyon test provides unsatisfactory results, or is delayed, or other Westinghouse facilities have not performed such testing, CPSES will perform a natural circulation test during the startup phase of the first refueling outage that met.ts the requirements of RSB 5-1.
The above information will be documented in the CPSES FSAR prior to fuel load.
