Dear Mr. Youngblood:
This letter is to advise the NRC that Texas Utilities Generating Company has executed Contract Number DE-CR01-84RW00012 with the Department of Energy (D0E) for the Disposal of Spent Nuclear Fuel from Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station Units 1 and 2.
Attached is a letter from Mr. L. F. Fikar to the U. S. Department of Energy and a copy of the Department of Energy contract transmittal letter.
l This should satisfy the NRC requirement for Comanche Peak for a DOE Spent Fuel Disposal Contract prior to granting an Operating License.

Dear Mr. Keefe:
In accordance with 10 CFR Part 961, enclosed herewith are five (5) copies of the Contract for Disposal of Spent Nuclear Fuel and/or High-Level Radioactive Waste, signed on behalf of Texas Utilities Generating Company. Upon execution by the Department of Energy, please return one fully executed copy of the contract to TUCCO.
This contract is being executed because of the statutory requirement for TUGC0 to have such an agreement with DOE in place prior to receiving an Operating License for the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station.
By the execution of this contract TUCCO does not waive any of its rights to seek, before DOE or the Courts, changes to the Final Rule or the Standard Contract. TdGC0 specifically objects to those portions of the Standard Contract for which we requested deviations in our letter of February 2,1984, but which were subsequently denied in your reply dated April 18, 1984. TUCC0 does not, however, limit its objections to those issues.
