The following information was provided by … The following information was provided by the licensee via phone and email:</br>On 1/31/2025, at 2015 EST, a technical specification required shutdown was initiated at Hope Creek Unit 1. Technical Specification 3.8.1.1.e. 'AC sources - operating' was entered on 1/31/2025, at 0735 EST, with a required action to restore at least one of the inoperable diesel generators to operable status within 2 hours. This required action was not completed within the allowed outage time; therefore a technical specification required shutdown was initiated, and this event is being reported as a four-hour, non-emergency notification per 10CFR50.72(b)(2)(i).</br>On 1/31/2025, at 2121 EST, one of the inoperable diesel generators was restored to operable prior to the Technical Specification 3.8.1.1.e required time to be in hot shutdown. The Unit 1 shutdown was suspended at that time. Technical Specification 3.8.1.1.b remains active for one diesel inoperable.</br>There was never an impact on the health and safety of the public or plant personnel.</br>The NRC Resident Inspector has been notified.
