At 2210 EDT on September 7, 2018, Duke Ene … At 2210 EDT on September 7, 2018, Duke Energy personnel determined that the following event required notification of a federal agency, North Carolina State agency and a local agency for a chemical spill exceedance.</br>At 2140 EDT on September 7, 2018, plant personnel identified a sodium hypochlorite spill of more than the reportable quantity of 75.9 gallons. This notification is being made as a four-hour, non-emergency notification for a Notification of Other Government Agencies. This event is reportable in accordance with 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi).</br>There was no impact on the health and safety of the public or plant personnel.</br>The NRC Resident Inspector has been notified.
