At 2234 (EDT), on 08/22/2019, while Unit ( … At 2234 (EDT), on 08/22/2019, while Unit (2) was at approximately 100 percent power in MODE 1, it was discovered that Unit 2 HPCI was INOPERABLE. HPCI does not have a redundant system; therefore, this condition is being reported as an eight-hour, non-emergency notification per 10 CFR 50.72(b)(3)(v).</br>There was no impact on the health and safety of the public or plant personnel.</br>The NRC Resident Inspector has been notified.</br>Initial evaluation is that it is a power supply issue. The system had no indications, followed by smoke from behind the circuitry, and then indications returning.
