The following information was received via … The following information was received via fax:</br>The licensee's portable density gauge operator was performing compaction studies with a Troxler Model 3430 on the slopes of a landfill. The source was in the locked position and the operator was present and standing about 30 feet away. A bulldozer came up over the slope and impacted the gauge. The gauge was intact except for damage to the shutter. The operator immediately contacted the RSO who responded to the site with a survey meter within minutes. Readings were within guidelines. The gauge was returned to its case, and loaded for transport. The RSO surveyed the area to check for contamination. No elevated readings were found.
