This transmitter is used to transmit information to the radio alert system (weather alert) for the site. Contract vendor has been contacted for troubleshooting and repair and is enroute to investigate the problem. The site has the ability to use the local radio stations if necessary.</br>The licensee has notified the NRC Resident Inspector. The cause of the failure was due to a possible lightning strike. </br>The licensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector.
