The following event description is based o … The following event description is based on information currently available. If through subsequent reviews of this event, additional information is identified that is pertinent to this event or alters the information being provided at this time, a follow-up notification will be made via the ENS.</br>At 1345 CST as part of post maintenance testing of the Comanche Peak Alert and Notification (siren) System, a polling of the system was initiated from the onsite microwave building. In response to this polling, only 5 of the system's 72 sirens initially responded. Troubleshooting determined that the 450 MHz radio system repeater used by both the siren system and the site emergency response teams was malfunctioning. Malfunction of this radio repeater made functionality of the systems intermittent and full function of neither was assured.</br>The siren system and emergency response radio system have been returned to service by switching to the backup radio repeater at 1522 CST.</br>There are no events in progress that required siren operation or dispatch of the site's emergency response teams. </br>The NRC Resident Inspector has been notified of the siren and emergency response radio system failures. emergency response radio system failures. +
