ENS 4357115 August 2007 05:00:00Agreement StateAgreement State Report - Sr-90 Source FoundOn August 1, 2007, Wisconsin Radiation Protection was notified a general licensed Sr-90 gauging device had been found. The device is a model 3F11, Strontium-90 source, Barber-Coleman Model 015202 source holder. The label indicates a source activity of 100 millicuries in July 1989. The device was found amid manufacturing equipment that had been purchased at an auction in 1999 when a company in Nevada had gone out of business. The equipment had been transported to Wisconsin and stored in an off-site warehouse. The equipment was never used and was in the process of being sorted prior to being sent for salvage. The device was found during this process. The company did not know the device bad been shipped to their location. The company has contacted a broker to dispose of the device.
