The Light c o mp a ny South Texas Project Ecctric &nerating Station P. O. Box 289 Wadsworth, Texas 77483 llouston Lighting & Power DEC 1 31994 ST-ilL-AE-4948 File No.: G09.11 10CFR50.54 U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attention: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555-0001 South Texas Project Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Submittal of Revised Operations Ouality Assurance Plan In accordance with 10CFR50.54, liouston Lighting & Power submits the attached revised chapters of the South Texas Project Operations Quality Assurance Plan. The revision is a consolidation of the change notices which have been submitted to the NRC during the last two years. Ilouston Lighting & Power has reviewed the revised chapters and has determined that there is no reduction in the effectiveness of the Operations Quality Assurance Plan, there are no unreviewed safety questions, and the information accurately presents changes made since the previous submittal.

In one change notice, QA-023, four paragraphs in Chapter 2.0 which describe the minimum requirements for the General Manager, Nuclear Assurance, were to be replaced with new information. The paragraphs were deleted and the new information was added to the chapter, but the inserts were not reflected in the change notice description. This oversight has been corrected by this submittal.

If there are any questions regarding this submittal, please contact Mr. Lawrence Martin at (512) 972-7827 or me at (512) 972-8434.
