SRM-COMSECY-25-0001 Task 4 - Plan ANNUALLY COMSECY-25-0001 communicated to the Commission that as part of the ADVANCE Act section 507(b) the NRC staff would evaluate various aspects of the nuclear
reactor and materials oversight and inspection programs to include the Agency Action Review Meeting (AARM), the inputs to the AARM, and the annual AARM results Commissions meeting. The staff also indicated that the evaluation under Section 507 (b) of the ADVANCE Act will identify options to maximize efficiency of the nuclear reactor and materials oversight and inspection programs and will support the development of one or more notation papers that provide options and recommendations to the Commission for revising the programs. The Commission directed the staff to while these self-assessment activities are suspended, the staff should ensure that there are other means in which this information is made available to the public, such as postings on the NRCs public website or by summarizing the results in a publicly available Information SECY paper.
To be renewed annually once, with a due date of 5/29/2026.
