SECY-19-0093-TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY (CLINCH RIVER NUCLEAR SITE EARLY SITE PERMIT APPLICATION), DOCKET NO. 52-047-ESP, MANDATORY HEARING DECISION The Commission (with Commissioner Baran dissenting in part) approved a Memorandum and Order addressing the required findings of 10 C.F.R. §§ 52.24(a) and 51.105(a) and the issues discussed at the uncontested hearing concerning the application of the Tennessee Valley Authority for an early site permit for the Clinch River Nuclear Site in Roane County, Tennessee.
The Memorandum and Order authorizes issuance of the early site permit.
(Subsequently, on December 17, 2019, the Secretary signed the Memorandum and Order.)
- 11. SECY-19-0105-ENTERGY NUCLEAR OPERATIONS, INC., ENTERGY NUCLEAR GENERATION CO., HOL TEC INTERNATIONAL. AND HOL TEC DECOMMISSIONING INTERNATIONAL. LLC (PILGRIM NUCLEAR POWER STATION) - LICENSE TRANSFER The Commission approved a Memorandum and Order responding to requests by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Pilgrim Watch to stay the effectiveness of (1) the Staff's Order approving the transfer of the Pilgrim renewed facility operating license and the general license for the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation; (2) a related exemption issued by the Staff to Holtec Pilgrim, LLC, and Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC; and (3) an associated license amendment issued on August 27, 2019. The Memorandum and Order denies the requests.
(Subsequently, on December 17, 2019, the Secretary signed the Memorandum and Order.)
