Pacilio (EGC), "LaSalle County Station, Units 1 and 2 - Request for Additional Information Related to License Amendment to Technical Specifications Section 3.7.3, 'Ultimate Heat Sink' (TAC Nos. NPF-1 1 and NPF-18 for LaSalle County Station, Units 1 and 2 (LSCS). The proposed amendment revises LSCS TS 3.7.3, "Ultimate Heat Sink," to limit TS allowed sedimentation in the LSCS Core Standby Cooling System (CSCS) pond (i.e., the LSCS ultimate heat sink (UHS)) to <_ 1.0 feet, thereby limiting post -accident heatup of the UHS.
In Reference 2, the NRC forwarded requests for additional information (RAIs) concerning the Reference 1 license amendment request. The NRC requested a response by September 14, 2011. EGC is not able to provide the requested information within the requested timeframe. As such, EGC is hereby withdrawing its request for NRC review and approval of Reference 1.
