NRC, "Response to Request for Additional Information Related to the Safeguards Contingency Plans and Section 9.4.1 of the Physical Security Plans," dated August 12, 2004 In response to Reference 1, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon) and AmerGen Energy Company, LLC (AmerGen) submitted physical security plans for each of the above facilities in Reference 2. The physical security plans submitted in Reference 2 have subsequently been modified to reflect the additional information provided to the NRC in References 3 and 4, as well as, clarifications received from continuing dialog between the NRC and the Security Working Group.

SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION September 9, 2004 U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 3 Attachment A contains revisions to the physical security plans for each of the affected facilities. These plans supersede those previously submitted in Reference 2. Attachment B provides updated responses to several NRC requests for additional information which either supersede or supplement the respective responses supplied in References 3 and 4.
Attachment C supplies additional justification for some of the alternatives provided in Reference 2.
Attachment A is contained on the enclosed CD-ROM. Attachments A, B, and C of this submittal contain Safeguards Information that must be protected from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 73.21, 'Requirements forthe Protection of Safeguards Information."
Exelon and AmerGen therefore request that the Attachments be withheld from public disclosure.
