SUMMARY
The River Bend Station annual random testing rate is 50 percent. During this reporting period, approximately 31.11 percent of the population has been randomly tested. The rate of positive tests from random testing is 0 percent.
POSITIVE RESULTS:
During this six month reporting period, 446 samples were collected and tested.
One sample was confirmed positive for illegal drugs. Two short-term contractors tested positive for alcohol.
MANAGEMENT ACTIONS:
There were three for-cause tests conducted this period:
" One was an observed behavior of an Entergy employee whose sample came back negative. Employee's unescorted access was reinstated after evaluation results were received.
" One was a post accident of an Entergy employee whose sample came back negative. Employee's unescorted access was reinstated after evaluation results were received.
" One was observed behavior of contract employee tested positive for alcohol, but the collected sample came back negative. Subject was denied unescorted access.
One random test for an Entergy employee resulted in a positive for marijuana. Subject was mandated to the Employee Assistance Program. Unescorted access was reinstated after evaluation results were received.
One pre-access test was administered on a Wackenhut employee with an alcohol positive. Subject was denied access for one year.
The 'Other' test was conducted on an Entergy employee returning from short term disability and had a low specific gravity on the first sample taken. The 'Other' test came back with negative results and a good specific gravity.
EVENTS REPORTED TO THE NRC:
During this reporting period, there was one minor violation of the fitness for duty program that was reported.
PROGRAM EVALUATION:
No programmatic problems were identified during this reporting period.
