SUMMARY
The River Bend Station annual random testing rate is 50 percent. During this reporting period, approximately 23.28 percent of the population has been randomly tested. The rate of positive tests from random testing is 0 percent. The total random percentage for the year is 53.52 percent.
POSITIVE RESULTS:
During the six month report period, 394 samples were collected and tested. Three samples were confirmed positive for alcohol or illegal drugs. One of those samples was confirmed positive for marijuana fand cocaine.
MANAGEMENT ACTIONS:
There were five for-cause tests conducted this period:
One was an observed behavior of an E ntergy employee who tested positive for alcohol. Subject was sent home for 14 days without pay and subsequently terminated per Human Resources.
Three were observed behavior of contract employees, one tested positive for alcohol (denied for one year), one tested positive for marijuana and cocaine (admitted use during collection and was denied for three years) and the last had negative test results.
One contract employee was tested for a post accident and the results were negative.
EVENTS REPORTED TO THE NRC:
During this reporting period, there were no violations of the fitness for duty program that were reportable.
PROGRAM EVALUATION:
No programmatic problems were identified during this reporting period.
