l In a letter dated November 21,1994, the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) notified licensees'of the approval of the "FormalIndustry Position on Severe Accident Management." It also requested that each licensee provide the cognizant Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff project manager with a target date, in writing, for implementation of the Boiling Water Reactor Owners' Group (BWROG) Accident l
Mtnagement Guidelines. The purpose of this letter is to inform you that River Bend Station (RBS) intends to implement the BWROG Accident Management Guidelines using Section 5 of net 91-04, e
Revision 1, within two years following its receipt. Based on conversations with BWROG members, we expect to receive the BWROG Accident Management Guidelines in December 1995. Should they_be l
delayed, a corresponding delay should be expected in the RBS implementation schedule.
