SDfIA!MIAL RADIOACTIVE EFFIDENT RELDEE RENRP ADDENDUM FACILITY:

River Bend Station - Unit I LICENSEE:

Gulf States Utilities Cmpany RLTORT PERIOD:

July 1, 1988 through December 31, 1988 This addendum is subnitted under River Bend Station (RBS) License Number NPF-47 and provides information that was not available when the Quarter 3/4 1988 RBS Semiannual Radioactive Effluent Release Report was being empiled.

Specifically, this addendum provides an update for the follwing:

1.

Tables 3,

4 and 5 Gaseous Effluents, Sr-89, Sr-90 Cmposite Results, pages 15,18 and 21.

2.

Table 6, Liquid Effluents, Sr-89, Sr-90 and Fe-55 Cmposite Results, pages 25 and 26.

Fourth quarter gaseous doses were calculated using 3rd quarter cmposite data for Sr-89 and Sr-90.

Cmposite results for the 4th quarter shwed a Sr-89 concentration less than that for 3rd quarter and a Sr-90 concentration belw the minimum detectable activity (MDA). Third i

quarter Sr-90 concentration was also < MDA.

Therefore, doses calculated for 4th quarter are more conservative and will not be recalculated.

j Doses due to liquid effluents were recalculated using l

4th quarter e mposite data (a positive analysis for Fe-55 was reported). The recalculation did not produce significant changes in either the population or maximum individual doses (Tables 10 and 12, pages 33 anl 37).

It should be noted that an entry of "0.00E+00" Ci in the follwing tables does not represent the absence of a radionuclides; but rather it indicates that the concentration of a particular radionuclides was bel w the Imer Limit of Detection (LLD).
