Gulf States Utilities Company's Comments on the Draft Operating License for River Bend Station 1.
Item 2.C (4), Antitrust Conditions Revise sentence to clarify and be consistent with Item 2.C (3), as follows:
"GSU shall comply with the antitrust conditions in Appendix C attached hereto, which are hereby incorporated into this license."
2.
Item 2.C (6), Feedwater Check Valve Analysis This item should be deleted as a license condition. The results of the feedwater check valve analysis were submitted to the NRC staff in GSU letter number RBG-21,487 dated July 8, 1985.
3.
Item 2.C (10), Residual Heat Removal System in Steam Condensing Mode Modify by adding at the end of the sentence: "until an analysis has been submitted, and the NRC Staff has reviewed and approved such analysis."
4.
Item 2.C (16), Ultimate Heat Sink Modify the sentence to delete the phrase " Class 1E qualified" from this condition. The SSER currently has this as a basis for accept-ability to the Staff, and it is therefore encompassed by the last phrase of the condition.
5.
Item 2.C (18), Operating Staff Experience Requirements With regard to the discussion in draft SSER 2, modify by adding at the end of the second sentence:
"or its equivalent as approved by Region IV."
6.
Item 2.C (20), Partial Feedwater Heating Modify by adding at the end of the sentence:
"until an analysis has been submitted and the NRC Staff has reviewed and approved such analysis."
7.
Item 2.C (21), Salem ATWS Event The correct references for the letters on this subject are August 3, 1984 and hay 2,,0,,
1985.
