APS operates the plant located near Wintersburg, Arizona.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held at Estrella Mountain Community College, North Community Room, 3000 North Dysart Road, Avondale, AZ. NRC officials will be available after the meeting to answer questions from the public.
The NRC dispatched an Augmented Inspection Team from its Region IV office in Arlington, Texas June 15 to look into the causes of, and the plant response to, the shutdown of Palo Verdes three reactors on June 14 following a loss of off-site power. The team will issue a written report, which will be made publicly available, by the end of July.
