The two-unit nuclear power facility is operated by Exelon Generation Co., LLC., and is located in Braceville, Ill., about 20 miles southwest of Joliet.

Dan Kimbles breadth of knowledge and experience, training and dedication to safety will help the NRC ensure that the Braidwood plant operates safely and continues to meet the high standards set by the NRC, said NRC Region III Administrator Cynthia D.

Pederson.

Kimble has more than 30 years of nuclear experience. He joined the agency in 2000 as a resident inspector in Region III. Before being assigned as the senior resident inspector at Braidwood, he was a senior resident inspector at Davis-Besse and LaSalle and a resident inspector at Monticello.

Each commercial nuclear power plant site in the United States has at least two resident inspectors who monitor day-to-day operations at the plant. Kimble joins NRC resident inspector Diana Betancourt-Roldan at the Braidwood facility.
