Subject:
SECURITY THREAT Cellaway Plant declared an unusual event at.11:20 a.m. CST on November 20,1997, in order to determine the credibility of a security threat. Plant security personnel, along with local t,nd federallaw enforcement officials are investigating the threat. The licensee has implemented interim contingency measures. The NRC Information A sessment Team was evaluating the threat and ensured that proper notifications were made. The licensee notified the Clinton Power Station es that plant was also mentioned in the threat. Region IV aler discusset, this threat with Region Ill.
The state of Missouri has been informed. The licensee has issued a press release.
Region IV received notification of this occurrence by telephone from the resident inspector at 11:25 a.m. Region IV has informed the EDO, NRR, r...d PA staff. This information has been discussed with the licensee and is current as of 2:30 p.m. November 20,1997.
