(AMS) Cleveland, Ohio, facility to Barnwell, S.C., for disposal. The radioactive waste included contaminated construction material and equipment from the facility. It was transported in casks in five shipments.

On May 27, 1997. NRC issued a license amendment to AMS authorizing the shipment of the majority of its dry, packaged radioactive waste to Barnwell.
