This is a Closed meeting. This covers closed meeting sessions requested pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390(d)(1), which relates to correspondence and reports to or from the NRC which contain information or records concerning a licensee's or applicant's physical protection, classified matter protection, or material control and accounting program for special nuclear material not otherwise designated as Safeguards Information or classified as National Security Information or Restricted Data.
Purpose:
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Nuclear Energy Institute proposals for inspection and enforcement of voluntary Early Warning Systems (EWS) at operating nuclear power plants. The NRC will not endorse a position during this meeting but will seek input and feedback on these regulatory topics.
