This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
The NRC staffs is hosting a series of three public meetings. The purpose of these three meetings is to share the staffs progress on the preliminary proposed rule language, preliminary draft guidance (NUREG-1556, Volume 22), and specific topics of the proposed rule that would form the regulatory framework under 10 CFR Part 30 for fusion systems.
The staff encourages feedback from all stakeholders during these meetings. The staff will consider the feedback; however, no formal responses will be issued.
